Store Manager allows you to work with a third-party program (Report Tool) for report developing and editing. Check User's Manual to learn more about this tool.
Our program gives you an opportunity to select one of the proposed variants of custom reports or create your own.
Go to main menu, choose tab Reports - Custom report / Reports. There is the list of embedded reports.
You can delete, edit, rename created ones. If you want to look over the report, click the 'Show report' button.
Let's consider a simple example of creation your own Report.
Then you should specify one or more SQL queries. You can open the saved file with SQL queries (1) or create new one - click ‘Visual Query Builder’ button to simplify this task (2):
There are tables of your database on the right side of the window (1). Choose necessary tables and click twice on them with your mouse(2). Selected tables will be moved to the left side (3). Check necessary rows of these tables.
Visual query builder will create SQL queries itself (4).
You can add to your queries an additional term (aggregate, sort type, grouping etc) in the table below. All your additions will be displayed in the SQL queries at the bottom of the window.
In order to check your generated queries, press the appropriate button in the top of the window.
On the Result page tab, you can see data, which the query has returned.
These results can also be exported to Excel by hitting "Export to Excel" button.
When you're done, click OK button.Report Designer - the second step of your report creation.
After you've created a query(ies), the report layout can be designed.
First of all, you should select data, which will be used in the report.
Go to Report →Data →check necessary dataset → press Ok. Your data will appear on the right side of the window. The basic objects, you'll most likely need to work with are the “Band” and “Text” objects.
Choose necessary bands from the designer toolbar. You can select from the drop-down menu such bands as Report Title, Page Header, Master Data and Page Footer.
Every band has its own meaning. Report Title consists of a title name of your report, Page Header - names table’s or list’s columns, MasterData attaches to database and contains with data, that will be displayed in the report,
'PageFooter' consists of current date and page number.
if it does not appear automatically then double-click the object by mouse. Type report name in the ' Report Title' band and then click "ОК" button.
In 'Page Header' band via text object, you can assign title names in your table data.
In order to attach your dataset, you should double-click by mouse in the area of 'Master Data' field. Such window will appear:
Now choose text objects and set data, that will be appearing in the Report as a table in the following way:
and do the same with the other text objects.
You can assign a current date and page number to your report. Choose 'System text' - Memo" window will appear. Select [DATE] from the drop-down of 'System variable' field.
Choose 'Master Data' in the 'Data Band' field and your dataset in 'DataSet' field, then click "Ok".
To assign page number you should do the same as in the previous example, just select except Date [PAGE] value. The report design is finished. To preview the report either select the “File>Preview” menu item or
click the corresponding button in the toolbar.
The preview window containing the report page with the attached data will appear. This report can be printed out, saved to a file (*.fp3), or exported to one of the supported export formats.
In case you need to design your own reporting document with the specific data in it, press the upper option in the Reports tab and you will get to the Reports Development page, where the appropriate report design can be ordered.
